Getting Started
How do I get started?
Sign up for a free account and you'll get 60 minutes of transcription credit immediately — no credit card required. Upload your first audio file and you'll have a transcript in minutes.
What audio formats are supported?
We support MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and WebM. If your file is in a different format, most free tools like VLC or Audacity can convert it for you.
How long does transcription take?
Most files are processed in roughly 20–30% of the audio duration. A 10-minute recording typically takes 2–3 minutes. Longer files may take a bit more time during peak hours.
Is there a file size limit?
Free accounts can upload files up to 500 MB. Pro and Business accounts support files up to 2 GB. For larger files, we recommend splitting them into segments.
Accuracy & Quality
How accurate are the transcriptions?
Our AI achieves 95%+ accuracy on clear, standard English audio. Accuracy can vary based on audio quality, background noise, heavy accents, or highly technical vocabulary. You can always edit the transcript inline after processing.
Which languages are supported?
We currently support English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese. More languages are being added regularly.
Can it handle multiple speakers?
Yes. Speaker diarization is available on Pro and Business plans. The AI identifies and labels different speakers automatically, which is great for interviews, meetings, and podcasts.
What if the transcript has errors?
You can edit any transcript directly in the browser. Click on any word or sentence to make corrections. Changes are saved automatically.
Pricing & Billing
What does the free plan include?
The free plan includes 60 minutes of transcription per month, access to basic export formats (TXT), and up to 3 active projects. It's a great way to try the service before committing.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What happens if I go over my monthly minutes?
On the free plan, transcription is paused until your quota resets. On paid plans, overage is billed at a per-minute rate shown on the pricing page. You'll receive an email warning before you hit your limit.
Do unused minutes roll over?
Monthly minutes do not roll over. Your quota resets on the same day each month. Annual plan users receive their full yearly allocation upfront.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Privacy & Security
Is my audio data kept private?
Yes. Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest. Audio files are automatically deleted from our servers after processing. We never use your content to train our models without explicit consent.
Are you GDPR compliant?
Yes. We comply with GDPR and CCPA. You can export all your data or delete your account at any time from the account settings page.
Who can see my transcripts?
Only you. Transcripts are private by default and only accessible to your account. We do not share or sell your data to third parties.
Export & Integrations
What export formats are available?
You can export transcripts as plain text (TXT), PDF, or Microsoft Word (DOCX). Pro and Business plans also support SRT subtitle format for video captioning.
Is there an API?
A REST API is available for Business plan users. It allows you to submit audio files, retrieve transcripts, and manage projects programmatically. API documentation is available in your account dashboard.
Can I integrate with other tools?
Direct integrations with Notion, Google Docs, and Zapier are on our roadmap. For now, you can use the API or export files and import them into your preferred tool.
